WHAT IS HEALTH?
Health is very important tool in our daily life. Without health we cannot achieve anything. The first most thing is to achieve health and then the other things and vice versa. Regarding health there are many quotes which describes the importance of health. But, I am sharing one of them which is of Mahatma Gandhi.
“IT IS HEALTH THAT IS REAL WEALTH AND NOT PIECES OF GOLD AND SILVER”
There are many types of health but we normally see two types of health which are:
· - Physical health
· - Mental health
Physical health:
A good physical health is defined as that we are taking care of our body, exercise, diet, sleep, hygiene. If we are good enough to manage these things then definitely we are enjoying good physical health. Otherwise we can face different diseases.
Moreover, regular physical activity can improve our muscle strength and boost our endurance. If you are not managing your physical health on daily basis, then in future a huge domino is waiting for you, which is normally very difficult to crack. Manage your physical health on daily basis mean to exercise daily, sleep on time (8 hours a day), eat healthy meal.
Mental health:
It includes our emotional, psychological and social well being. It affects how we think, feel and act. It also helps that how we handle stress. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. For good mental health exercise, meditation, sleep, socialization is recommended. Nowadays many people are facing stress and anxiety issues all over the globe.
This is all because of poor mental health. So, the thing is to take care of your mental health as well. People are spending millions of dollar, attending classes to overcome their stress level, which is totally wrong. Try practicing on daily basis the things which are recommended for good mental health.
There is clear distinction between mind and body. But when we consider these two terms mental and physical health, they should not be thought of as separate. We normally see that people with mental health conditions are less likely to receive the physical healthcare they’re entitled to. Mental health service users are less likely to receive the routine checkups. In short if you want to enjoy a good and healthy life so you must consider both (mental and physical health).
